Woodford County Conservation Teacher of the Year

Julie Coy, WCMS Art Teacher, is the 2009 Conservation

Teacher of the Year for Woodford County.  She not only

taught students art techniques to paint the rainbarrel (you see

on left, but she also made sure her students understood the

conservation concepts of protecting our soil, water, and

other environmental issues.  Ms. Coy is not only an excellent

art teacher but a well-liked and respected teacher who goes beyond

expectations to take on special projects that will benefit her students,

school and the community.

a pledge to "Change A Light, Change The World."  Peggy C. Seal, WC Conservation

District Supervisor, talks to Judy Padgett about energy conservation.
